We are dedicated to delivering fantastic cycling holidays through the most spectacular regions of the world, offering fascinating sceneries and immense cultural interest.
But don't just take our word for it, here is what our customers have had to say about redspokes and our services...
Martin Hamilton, Telford, England, UK
Absolutely superb trip, exceeded all my expectations. The crew looked after us fantastically well - nothing was too much trouble. Overall an excellent trip to a fascinating country.
Phil Hurcom, London, England, UK
Another fantastic tour with redspokes. Challenging but manageable cycling in stunning scenery away from the predictable tourist locations. The superb support provided by all the redspokes staff and local agents combined with comfortable and appropriate accommodation helped contribute to an unforgettable experience. To achieve this seamlessly on the first running of the tour is a tribute to redspokes' prowess as a tour company.
Trish and Darren Whitaker, Darwin, Australia
We both loved this trip and will remember the adventure forever- we have done about 5 other organized cycling trips as well as independent extensive world cycle trips.
Of course every trip is different and it is hard to compare but we will remember our time in Nepal forever and the feedback from friends about our photos has been amazing. Thanks again.
Sarah Rainford , London, England, UK
Ox and his team go above and beyond to making your trip a once in a lifetime experience. The trip is so perfectly organised by Red Spokes, that all you have to think about are the beautiful views, delicious food and your distance to Everest!
Judith Kimenai, Netherlands
A big thanks to all the guides that made this wonderful trip possible! Danny and Maddy were fantastic on the bike ánd in sharing stories about Indian history! Raju did everything possible to have every little bike problem fixed. Cook and transport/logistics staff were just amazing by making sure the whole camp was arranged before we arrived. All of this made us feel like we were on a real holiday! :-). The whole trip was just stunning.
Fantastic scenery, great people, challenging, but doable biking experience and the ever present positive vibe were reasons to enjoy every single bit of this journey. Definitely a recommendation to everyone who enjoys high altitude cycling and mountain scenery!
Donal Burke, New York, United States
All guides were very helpful and make the trip fun. The scenery is incredible and the hills very challenging. As the trip covered some beautiful small towns as well as the two largest cities I felt that we got to see a good cross section of Colombia.
I would love for others to discover the magic of Colombia!
Andrew Mak, Midlevels, Hong Kong
This was my first redspokes experience even though I've been on several cycling tours before. This NE Vietnam tour was certainly one of the most memorable and exceeded all my expectation (not that I had that much).
First of all, my one other tour buddy and I were spoiled rotten with all the extra attention. Second, our tour leader Phong was everything you've read in these testimonials and much much more...I felt I'd learnt just that much more about Vietnam despite having visited this beautiful country many times either on business or for pleasure. One other fun fact, apparently I had the honour of being Phong's first customer from hustle bustle Hong Kong which made this experience even more special.
Sandy McKay, Wanaka, New Zealand
Kasun was an excellent guide, he was very attentive and made sure that we had had a good day and were happy with the accommodation all the way. He was very informative and patient, and had a great sense of humour. And his back up team were also excellent, but as their English was a bit limited, not so easy to ask them questions. And we had lots!! I liked that there were plenty of stops to refuel with water and snacks. And that we stopped ot local villages for morning tea.
There was lots of different terrain, and it was great to be on the rural back roads as much as possible. Accommodation was generally excellent, especially the ones with swimming pools to cool off. And the opportunity to go rafting was great too. All in all, a very well run trip - highly recommended, even if I couldn't make it up the hills on day 6!

The trip is so perfectly organised by redspokes, that all you have to think about are the beautiful views, delicious food and your distance to Everest!
Ali Gillum, London, England, UK
What an amazing adventure. One of the best things I’ve ever done. Physically I’ve never pushed myself harder, but what an achievement to have done it!
It was so good for the soul to be out in the mountains. A great fun group, and the team were just fab. All in all, amazing.
David Rice, Carlisle, England, UK
Cycling to Everest Basecamp is an amazing adventure and climbing up to almost 17000ft on a bicycle is an exhilarating experience. The views are all the more rewarding given the hard work it has taken to get them! The culture in Tibet is very colourful and there are many monasteries to look round.
One of the highlights for me was going to the city town in Lhasa and seeing the many Pilgrims walk round the Monastery praying. However the best part of the holiday was obviously reaching Rongbuk and seeing Everest. The guides looked after us well and cooked a wide variety of very tasty food.
Kate Cammidge, Leigh-On-Sea, England, UK
Wow! Where do I begin. redspokes you’ve done it again! We had such an amazing time. From the train ride to Jaffna to our arrival in Kandy. It was such a colourful and interesting tour. Each day we would see such fascinating sighs not knowing what to expect next!
Our Guides Mr Sampath and Mr Waruna were both so interesting. Mr Sampath took us on the most beautiful paths and away from the noisy dangerous roads, to climbing hills through the tea plantations with spectacular scenery. One memorable day - we got up and went for an early pre dawn cycle. We were cycling In Sigiriya Rock National Park and we saw traces of elephant and sure enough we stopped and one walked across the road in front of us! He disappeared without a trace. Mr Waruna is a great historian. When we visited ancient temples he knows so much about each place. Other places of interest he was so knowledgeable. Our guides, drivers and helpers were equally so kind, friendly and helpful. They all went above and beyond their duties to make sure we were all happy and you couldn’t fault any of them. They were a really good team!
Paula Barclay, Colorado, United States
I have to be honest: I was as nervous as hell after I signed up for this trip. I'd seen a slide show in my hometown about a woman's trip through four countries with redspokes. As soon as I heard the talk I was hooked! However after I sent in my deposit, I thought, "What the heck am I doing?" This trip is rated extreme and it is! It's extreme altitudes, an extreme, arid climate and day after day of extreme elevation gains. With all that being said, it is also a trip of amazing scenery, incredible people and physical challenges that push you to your limit.
Raju and his support team were absolutely amazing -- they were so helpful and encouraging and they will not let you fail! They were there every time I needed a water bottle refill, a banana or just a friendly face and a little encouragement. I also so appreciated the camaraderie and encouragement that developed between myself and the four other members of the group. This was a trip of a lifetime and a dream come true. I loved my experience and am already planning for my next redspokes adventure!
Bryan Lally, Colorado,United States
Had a great time. It was challenging, but we always felt well supported. Will definitely look at redspoke tours again, just not sure which ones - there are so many to choose from! Perhaps Thailand/Laos/Vietnam or one of the South American tours.
I was very impressed with the organization both from redspokes and the local operator.
Jo Johnson, Burley, England, UK
This was a great trip with a good mix of culture and activity, it was a superb way to experience Sri Lanka. Kasun was an outstanding group leader and was supported by a fabulous team who managed to cater for everyone's tastes and abilities.
Evelyn Mullins, London, England, UK
The team where fantastic, also there to help with all problems and queries. Please thanks them for making it an amazing trip for everyone.
Michael and Christine Lawton, Rhyl, England, UK
The information provided prior to the trip was excellent. Laos is a wonderful place to visit and the food is really good. Our guide Chit was brilliant and the driver/chef/mechanic/provider of sustenance throughout the ride, Kou was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble for either of them. The scenery is spectacular. The cycling is certainly challenging in parts, but the long up hills do mean there are long downhills to compensate. The staff were always on hand to provide encouragement, cool drinks and fruit at the right times.
Peter and Jannie Werkhove, Houten, Netherlands
The trip to Yunnan exceeded our expectations. Challenging rides in a beautiful mountain scenery, picturesque villages, local ethnic minorities and markets. Our guide Tony and driver/cook Ken were doing great by arranging excellent food and hotels and by guiding us in local culture and language. The few showers that we had could not temper our enthusiasm. In all, this trip should be on your bucket list!!
Kieran Kelleher, Kanturk, Ireland
Another excellent redpsokes tour which I would highly recommend. Albania is an great destination & a great way to see the countryside. Some preparation is needed beforehand for this tour as the initial part in the North is in the mountains & along with the terrific climb on the last day cycling, it is challenging but well worth it.
Debbie Vearnals , Salford, England, UK
This is the hardest cycling that I have ever done, however all the guides were super supportive. I never felt under any pressure being last and they were always checking if I was ok. For me the scenery was spectacular, I had ample opportunity to stop and take photographs and just enjoy the scenery. The Columbian people were friendly and tranquil, wonderful country.
Glenn Doel, Southampton, UK
This was my first cycle tour and I was impressed with the level of organisation. The local guides and agent Raju were very good and any problems these guys knew how to fix the problem. The whole tour was very well run and I would consider doing another tour with redspokes.
Martyn Forsey, Al Khor, Qatar
I knew this would be a very challenging trip and, as someone who has little mountain biking experience, it certainly was. My lack of mountain biking experience, combined with my enthusiasm for regularly stopping to photograph and film the fantastic views, meant I was always the last to arrive at the destination each day. But it wasn't an issue because we were encouraged to ride at a comfortable pace and there was always a support guide at the front and back of the group. I highly recommend this trip.
Joanne & Simon Belton, Matamata, New Zealand
Can you think of a better way to meet a bunch of random people from anywhere in the world? This ride showed the great mountainous expanse of Albania, the contrasts within the country itself, and how far the country has advanced since the end of communism.
Our guide Arjan was every passionate about his country and was never hesitant to share his views and information. Our support man Elvis was outstanding. Nothing was too much effort for him, and he was always there offering you water, a banana, packet of nuts, or chocolate bar whenever you were in need - it was like you were holding a sign with your order on it. Happy pedalling!
Walter Dumont, Edmonton, Canada
I was impressed with the quality of the meals, and the living accomadations that were provided considering we were camping. Well done redspokes, can't wait for my next trip!
Karen Donnelly, Bali, Indonesia
This trip was amazing and the biggest cycling challenge of my life. Spectacular scenery, passing over some extremely high passes and remote valleys. The road were mostly good, but some downhill stretches were unpaved and lots of fun after the difficult climbs. I found the altitude the biggest challenge of all. It made every day a tough day, but the environment was so outstandingly beautiful, it was worth the hard work. I did all my training at sea-level, and highly recommend training at altitude if you can get the opportunity!!
We were fantastically supported by a large, hardworking team. On arrival at camp in the afternoons, they had already set up our tents, provided hot water for washing and HUGE amounts of delicious food. The chef was outstanding and produced a wide variety of amazing, healthy and tasty meals!! Raju, our leader, was exceptional. He was very careful in ensuring we were not suffering from the altitude and stayed constantly hydrated and full of food. I felt safe and very well looked after for the entire trip. I highly recommend this trip!!
Peter Dahlhus, Stenloese, Denmark
I do not like to use 'big words' about personal experiences because words are easily devalued. But I have to say that the redspoke Indian Himalayan tour was a great personal experience, which I will remember for many years. I can mention many things that made this trip something special. But if I only have to mention one thing that made a big difference, it must be Rachi and his team. These people are amazing and I wish I can take them with me next time I go on a redspokes tour.
Karine, London, England, UK
I felt a bit out of range when I first arrived on this tour as the average participant age was higher than mine. However I had a lot of fun on this tour!!!! The cycling part was excellent. Really well organised and a paradise for cyclists.
Arjan was helpful to guide us and give us information on the country. July went above his duties to make sure everybody was having a good time. A fantastic experience overall :)
Ms Sharlene Rainford, Lewisham, NSW, Australia
Wonderful trip. Colombia is forever in my heart and the crew were just lovely. I never thought I'd enjoy cycling up mountains so much. Be warned, the cycling on some days isn't for the feint hearted. The 130km day is pretty tough especially in the heat. The 'monster mountain climb' however was fantastic and not as hard as it sounds. The views are spectacular and of course there's the downhill reward. Be prepared for fairly same-ish food most of the time but it won't matter because Colombia is a special place!

Another amazing redspokes trip, this time to Albania with our wonderful guide Arjan who was very knowledgeable about the country and history of Albania.
Scenery was beautiful including mountains/lakes and Albanian coast. It really gave you a insign into the country and the people along with delicious meditterean food and challenging cycling.
Bernie Raverty, Surrey British Columbia, Canada
I can highly recommend the redspokes Nepal bike tour.It offered a good overview of Nepal with the Kathmandu Valley region, the Chitwan and of course the Annapurna region.Tour guide "Ox" is the hardest working person I have ever met. He is a great guide and seems to know every person we met in the small villages.I enjoyed our visits as we climbed from the back of the pack-he is also the first person to call me "Canada" for two weeks.
Nigel Fielden, Cheshire, England, UK
An outstanding trip into the high mountains. The cycling was challenging enough, but not too tough for average cyclists. The support crew and guide were absolutely first-rate - helpful, professional and good-natured throughout. Just pack plenty of warm kit for the nights whilst you're camping!
Bob Harrison, Weymouth, England, UK
This was an extraordinarily tough trip but well organised and utterly rewarding. Furthermore, as a committed solo cyclist I would recommend anyone to consider doing this route with Red Spokes in preference to pushing a heavily laden tour bike through kilometer after kilometer of deep sand and rock.
Ged Browne, Wanstead, London, UK
If you enjoy off-road adventure cycling, I don't know how this trip could be bettered. The terrain was varied, challenging and often exhilarating. The range of scenery and weather in such a short period was amazing - from fertile, populated valleys of 35C+ to bleak Tibet-like uplands, below 0, and as undeveloped in terms of infrastructure as anywhere I have ever been. Obviously, this had its challenges, but for me the feeling of being in some truly untravelled wilderness areas, with lovely welcoming people made it well worth the hardships.
Paul Emms, Harrogate
This was a sensational trip in a world class stunning location. The organisation was faultless, the itinerary was great, the route beautiful and the whole trip was so much fun. I loved the fact that the location had virtually no western influence and we saw very few other “tourists”. The local people everywhere were lovely. All the accommodation was spot on with big clean comfortable rooms and the local food was continually delightful. The cycling was spectacular, exhilarating and tough with some huge demanding climbs and speedy exciting descents so thank you for choosing such a great route and providing such a great bike which made it all possible.
Finally everything above was made magical by our wonderful guide and friend Phong. He was fun, caring, knowledgable, fixed any problems (of which there were few) and always ordered brilliant food wherever we ate, and lots of it! And when there were no places to eat on the route during to day he always prepared a great picnic supplemented by coffee & snack breaks. He made sure I tried lots of new fruit & vegetables and the yummy rice cake! Mr Ming our driver also did a great job transporting all our gear and helping Phong wherever possible. I very much hope that I will have another opportunity to go cycling with Phong and experience his lovely company & sense of humour! Thank you everyone at redspokes & I look forward to joining you again!
Kristina Isberg, San Diego, USA
This was our third redspokes tour and it was great. Our guides were outstanding, providing with the right information at the right time. The scenery of northern Patagonia was stellar.
Deborah Littlejohn, Uxbridge, England, UK
We have just returned from our wonderful Sri Lanka Classic cycle tour. As we are middle aged and not particularly fit we decided to take the e-bikes. Although these did help us, they did not stop us from getting a lot fitter by the end of the tour. Our guide Chamara and driver Janika were extremely experienced and benevolent. We learnt so much about this beautiful country from the spices and teas that are grown there, to the gems that are mined. We visited Buddhist temples and world heritage sites. The lunches were varied delicious and memorable as were the snacks, black tea and fresh coconut stops.
It was an opportunity to see parts of Sri Lanka that very few others can or do. The people are incredibly friendly and the children run down the road after you for a ‘high five’. I don’t think that there was one moment where I didn’t have a smile on my face. Thank you “redspokes” for a wonderful tour.
Kathryn Phillips, New Zealand
What an incredible experience. The scenery was so dramatic, so stunning and changed so dramatically across our journey. The altitude made the journey challenging, but also resulted in a wonderful camaraderie emerging between all the members of the group as we battled to the top of each pass. The trip was superbly run and the support offered by our guides was brilliant. The final challenge of tackling Khardung La on the final day was the perfect end to an incredible journey. If you're up for a challenge, willing to give things a go and have the experience of a lifetime - do this trip.
Ms Susan Richards, London, England, UK
Kasun and Lasantha (our driver) were excellent and went out of their way to ensure everything was okay for us, and nothing ever seemed too much trouble.
The outstanding highlights for me were the three lunches we had in local people's homes.
Simon Rowley, Nuneaton, England, UK
I didn't know what to expect when I booked this tour but nothing could of prepared me for how well organised it was , Raju, Ravi and Keshu and everyone behind the scenes such as the kitchen staff were excellent and we wanted for nothing . The food , company and staff made this a memorable trip in stunning surroundings .
King Ho Tan, Hong Kong
I was very impressed with Raju and his team, for being so attentive, caring and ensuring that everyone's well being are well taken care of. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone.
Simon & Sarah, Huddersfield, England, UK
Our guide, Mr Sampath made this holiday. His knowledge was vast, the country side, plantations, routes, animals and birds was a joy to talk with him. he gauged our wishes well, managed to find great cycleways, tracks/roads that were fascinating, noting the animals, birds and reptiles plus the visits to the spice garden, gem museum, botanical gardens and several ancient cities we enjoyed a lot.
The driver, Diane, he was very good at looking after the bikes, local provisions and such a careful driver, this made all the difference to a well supported and relaxing holiday and travel in the support vehicle.
Donal Burke, New York, USA
An amazing cycling trip with breathtaking views in the mountains and along the beautiful coast road. All the accommodation and food was to a high standard and the guides worked tirelessly to keep the everything running like clockwork.
Deborah Hammond, Tacoma, Washington, USA
I was the slowest rider in the group but felt completely supported. I loved the cultural experiences - coffee and hat tours?
David Voas, London, UK
NE Vietnam offers spectacular scenery in an ideal climate, with an outstanding guide, good food and comfortable accommodation. The climbs were challenging but it was all manageable; the roads were generally good.
Ros Lawson, Edinburgh Scotland
This was my sixth Redspokes trip and Albania didn't let me down. The Alps are incredibly beautiful and the North to South tour gave us a great overview of the country. Our guide Arjan (who is exceptionally proud of his country!) and support driver Rimi worked so hard and could not have been more helpful & good-humoured. Safety on the roads was paramount with constant reminders to cycle on the right. Local drivers were, on the whole respectful of us. The bikes were maintained very well; constantly being checked & any problems tweaked straight away. The accommodation was generally of a good standard and the restaurants and food chosen well (lots of salads, roasted veg & feta cheese - but cold chips seem to be a thing!).
We loved spending our day off in Ohrid, Macedonia where some of us swam in the tectonic lake as our hotel was right on the water. This is definitely a part of the world I would like to revisit before it becomes too westernised, although I would return in June or September when it is slightly warmer. The one disappointment was the amount of litter scattered everywhere. The cycling was often challenging & deserved the 7/10 grading on difficulty. However, we like this level of tour & will be returning for more!
Jeff Riley , London, UK
Thanks Dermot for helping me discover and appreciate new countries with cyclists who share the distinctive design of the redspokes experience.
Lots of cycling, adventurous tours that attract adventurous people. I've had two redspokes tours and they were both fabulous.
Jill & Frank Hammond, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
Our tour was a dream come true. The picturesque landscapes and well-planned route made for an unforgettable adventure. What stood out even more was Anna's incredible support. Her expertise, responsiveness, and genuine care added an extra layer of magic to the journey. Thank you, Redspokes and Anna, for an experience that exceeded all our expectations!
Dr Graeme Cameron, Denver, Colorado, USA
Cycling through Argentina was an absolute thrill, and the experience was elevated to new heights thanks Taiel and Marcello, our guides, were the heart and soul of the adventure. Their passion for cycling and in-depth knowledge of Argentina's culture and geography added a rich layer to our journey.
From charming local villages to picturesque vineyards, every pedal stroke felt like a discovery. Cycling in Argentina is not just a physical adventure; it's a cultural and sensory delight. Highly recommend it to anyone seeking an active and immersive travel experience!
Yvonne Lindsay, Otford, England, UK
The trip with everything - flat long runs, arduous hills, beaches and lush greenery in the tea plantations, as well as plenty of wildlife. Definitely one worth doing. I absolutely loved it and am keen to return to do one of your other Sri Lanka tours.
Kristina Batty, Redding, California, USA
Our tour was just fantastic! We were lucky to spot dolphins at Chanonry Point, which was a magical start to our journey. Each day brought new highlights, from cycling through historic towns to discovering stunning beaches along the west coast.
The rugged landscapes, combined with well-planned routes and comfortable accommodations, made this tour truly unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore Scotland's natural beauty at their own pace!
John Homer, Cullompton, England, UK
Would recommend and will book again . Thanks to the office team and the excellent guides!
Joshua Tan, Singapore
Thank you once again for the well planned and beautiful tour!! It was a very memorable experience for us, and we really appreciate your hospitality and all the smiles and going out of your way to ensure we would enjoy the tour!
Alastair Ward, Dorset, England
What a wonderful trip. A combination of camaraderie from others on the tour and welcome from the local peoples in an astounding geographical area less travelled made the whole experience truly memorable.
Organisation was good but not intrusive allowing for flexibility and time to stop and meet the local people along the way. My photos really don't do it justice. Looking forward to another trip with redspokes in another part of the world... just can't decide where.
Robert Cameron, Pincher Creek, Canada
Hard to ride fast because there was always something interesting to look at. Friendly people. Excellent "pit crew"!
Alistair Swales , York, England
An excellent and memorable trip. As many others have commented Phong our guide is just great. Friendly, encouraging, knowledgeable and rightly proud of his country.
We all really enjoyed the whole trip, great views, lovely people, enough of a challenge without being impossible and a feeling of really being in Vietnam and not viewing it from within a tourist bubble. We loved it.
Louise Ryan, Umina Beach, NSW, Australia
I loved everything about this trip! We were lucky that our small group size allowed for highly personalized attention from our guides. In fact, our tour leader, Phong, felt more like a knowledgeable friend and travelling companion than a paid guide. His outstanding command of English allowed for lots of fun banter as well as meaningful discussions, especially about Vietnamese history and culture.
I learned so much. I found the cycling challenging in a positive and often exhilarating way. I'll be coming back again to do the North East Vietnam trip with Phong for sure!
Jonathan Pearce, Marrickville, NSW, Australia
North Vietnam is a beautiful part of the world and excellent for mountain biking! The hills were challenging- the views were worth it and the downhills exhilarating. Culturally, we were lucky enough to have our trip coincide with the 60th commemoration of Dien Bien Phu, meeting interesting groups of veterans en route in local hotels. Their interest and generosity was touching- plenty of shared rice wine!
Phong and his crew were first rate: helpful, patient and always available to help us experience interactions with the local culture and people. hotels and food were great.
Paula Dyche, London, England, UK
One of the great aspects of the trip was that you are on the bike all the time which allowed you to experience the contrasting landscapes - rice fields, mountains, villages and towns. You get a real taste of daily life - you happen upon events - stop to admire someone's pig, watch rice pickers, sample some local food.
Some of the days I found tough but Dermot and his crew were there to keep me moving and there were carefully planned 'strategic' stops where you can see the table with refreshments up the hill/mountain that you need to get to. Going on a redspokes holiday (this was my second one) is like going away with friends on an adventure!
Timothy Lawley, Shropshire, England
Another fantastic, well organised trip by the redspokes team, the local knowledge & guide Phong was exceptional. Varied accommodation & local cuisine dishes every day along with beautiful outstanding scenery every inch of the way made this trip truly memorable. With redspokes great value & attention to detail I will certainly be booking up with them again.
Janne Turpiainen, Finland
This was my first guided cycling adventure and I was in this tour with my daughter. We had great time cycling in beautiful Vietnamese country side. The support team did a good job and we could really just focus on enjoying the ride and had no worry about the arrangements. We got also enough information about the local culture and had a chance to work at the rice field also. As we enjoyed this tour a lot we look forward to next adventures.
Michael Forde, Dublin, Ireland
What a great part of Vietnam to cycle, empty roads, stunning scenery and great craig with a nice bunch of people. For me the essence of travelling is getting on roads less travelled and meeting different cultures and experiencing their warmth and hospitality, well done for helping me achive this.
Robert Wright, St Margaret's, Ireland
What a great place for a cycling holiday. A mesmerizing hidden corner of Vietnam, totally unspoilt, notraffic, no tourists and undoubtedly the most spectacular scenery in the whole country. Cycling among the different hill tribe people, seeing close up, how little their lives had changed over the generations, was truly a fascinating experience. For me that's what cycling adventure holidays are all about. Well done redspokes.
Laura Donovan, London, UK
This trip was a brilliant way to see Vietnam in an active way. The group was friendly and good company and I felt privileged to witness the rural communities in the north that very few tourists will see. The cycling was mountainous but enjoyable and the scenery spectacular. Thoroughly recommended.
Stephen Barnes, Bristol, United Kingdom
A truly memorable trip. Such a beguiling country, from its people, philosophy, history and landscape. Every day had something new to offer, and you feel you are seeing the real Sri Lanka.
Family Mulligan-Bennett, Bellingen, Australia
Our private tour of the North of Vietnam with our 14 year old daughter was so much more than we were expecting. Every day was interesting to the degree that it was hard to know what to look at: mountain people in traditional dress, a couple ploughing with a buffalo on a scarily steep slope, the school children trying out their English and easily keeping up with us on their vintage bikes, and beautiful scenery of mountains and rice fields. Our daughter managed extremely well with the help of our tour team and we only used the van on some of the steepest climbs. A totally brilliant trip.
Roberto Severi, Kent, England
I had a fantastic experience and the trip had some really good cycling - the rest days were a real bonus, with a lovely hotel and the beach hotel was perfect (would have happily stayed there longer). The country and the local people were a real treat and in my opinion made the holiday.
Bryan Crosland, Port Talbot, Wales, UK
Tough roads, extreme weather, friendly people all make for a great trip in a country where even the city folk are horse experts. If you like wide open spaces then this trip is for you.
Chris Cammidge, Leigh-On-Sea, England, UK
A truly memorable trip. Such a beguiling country, from its people, philosophy, history and landscape. Every day had something new to offer, and you feel you are seeing the real Sri Lanka.
Diana de Rooij & Gerrit Aarnoudse, Utrecht, Netherlands
Very happy with our very first organized tour experience, as part of our honeymoon :) I'm glad we chose cycling with redspokes to explore the beautiful country of Burma/ Myanmar. I wish redspokes all the best with organizing and touring. Keep exploring new routes!
Andrew Lindsay, Otford, England, UK
Very enjoyable trip combining cycling through some lovely and ever changing countryside and a good level of sightseeing / learning about the country.
Local guides were excellent and very knowledgable.
Vicky Seymour, La Rippe, Switzerland
This is an excellent trip - The guide was probably one of the best I have ever had on any tour, nothing was too small or too much to be achieved. The quality of food and accommodation is very good, I was particularly impressed with the range of vegetarian food available. I loved staying with the local families and in the yurts. All the people involved were highly welcoming and hugely enhanced the enjoyment of the trip.
The riding is challenging, but not overly so - the scenery is spectacular and the route has been well-considered to offer sufficient challenges without being tortuous! The bikes available for rent are perfectly adequate for the job and the support is highly professional, competent and reassuring.
Priyen Shah, Singapore
Myanmar is certainly a magical place and I feel lucky to have been able to cycle around the country in its modern day infancy as it gradually opens up to tourism. It's rich in history and culture (Bagan was simply breathtaking), and the people we met along the way are some of the friendliest and most welcoming in the world. There was a real spectrum of cycling terrain, from comfortable flats via stunning valleys to some testing ascents over rough surfaces. It really hit home what years of military rule can do to infrastructure and the economy, but you forget about any pain when the kids in the villages run out from their homes to greet you as you pass by. The support crew treated us all like their own family, working tirelessly to make sure we had a fab Christmas and New Years (including making sure the food I got throughout the trip was vegetarian!), not to forget Julian who was a first rate tour leader.
Cressida Dawson, Jussy, Switzerland
This was a fantastic tour - what an amazing country. It was really well organised an our guide, Arjan was great - helpful, very well informed and immensely proud of his country. The accommodation was very good, the bikes in good condition and easy to ride, and great food.
Andrew Allan, Toronto, Canada
This is a great trip! It is extremely well run! The bike provided was excellent. So was the bike service. The team worked hard every day to clean and service everyone's bike before the next day's ride. I also loved that drinking water was provided daily. This was not done a previous trip we took in Croatia. The fruits and snacks provided at the rest stops were a welcome relief as well. The guides and support team work tirelessly to ensure you have a great experience.
As someone who did not prepare for this trip, I found the riding to be challenging; especially on Day 1 & Day 2. Then, I found that I got stronger throughout the trip. The experiences from the perch of the bicycle were incredible. I loved how so many people came to greet us as we rode by. We were complete Martians to most of the people we passed! I especially loved the visit to the school and was thrilled to have been a part of the celebration. I feel so fortunate to have been a part of such a special group! Thank you for making it all possible.

This trip was awesome - scenery, people, food & accommodation really of a good standard (much better than Laos). Great to meet Damien & Stephen who were real "Flag Bearers" for Dermot.

An amazing trip; quite tough with a lot of climbing but the rewards are many.
The views, the birds and butterflies and the exotic fruits and plants. The small towns along the route are bustling with life and activity and a delicious coffee is never far away. The opportunity to explore two fascinating cities at the beginning and end of the trip in Medellin and Bogota is a real bonus. (We tried running in Bogota and forgot that it is at 2,640m! - Mui Durita.)

The Colombia trip was outstanding with extremely beautiful scenery and a great support.

Amidst the colorful culture, chaotic streets and overwhelming beauty, our guide, Ox, made our Nepalese experience personal and memorable! He always had perfectly timed stops with tea and food in small tea houses along the way. It felt as if everyone we met along the way was his friend and happy to share their time with us

This was my first organized cycling tour and I was not sure what to expect - either of redspokes or myself! I was so pleased to find this tour extremely well organized.
Mr. Sampath did an excellent job of evaluating our group's cycling abilities and speeds and adjusting our pace accordingly. He is an excellent bike tour leader, who effortlessly led us through side streets, canal-side paths and through busy towns! The tour would have not been such a success without Mr. Waruna! His patience in answering client questions was endless, and his passion for and knowledge of the history, culture and wildlife of Sri Lanka were infectious. I learned so much more about the country than I ever expected I would on a cycling tour. The rest of the crew were always helpful, professional, and friendly. Kasoon is an excellent driver in often very difficult, tight conditions! Nuwan always had the truck where it was needed, and Kumar was ready to help in an instant. We loved being pampered with fresh fruit, local sweets and water at every stop! What a great team!
My mountain bike was excellent! I was not sure what to expect, but brought my own cage pedals, which the team installed for me. I also brought a gel seat cover, which I think helped save my butt! Loved the disc brakes on my bike! They gave me confidence on the downhills!

This was my first cycling holiday. There were parts that were harder than I had anticipated. However I made it and thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would do it again. It was a great way to see the country and the way of life and interact with the locals. The organisation, accommodation, food, guides and bikes were of a high standard. I am glad to have done the trip with the beach extension as this gave another insight into life in the country and the ability to keep cycling or not. I would recommend it to anyone.

The Pamir Highway trip was a real adventure. Beautiful scenery, the warmest, most hospitable people I've ever met and some truely memorable experiences such as waking up to snow during our Yurt stay.

I truly enjoyed the Patagonia Chile-Argentina redspokes trip. The mountain and lake scenery was spectacular. The arrangements spot on and the accommodations very comfortable. I liked cycling on a combination of gravel and paved roads with a few days of truly memorable rides. Staff was outstanding --Tolke, Diego and Bosco were terrific in everyway. They were competent well organized and helped make even the challenging days fun.

I loved experiencing Burma at handlebar level. It's a great way to see the country and to meet the locals. The riding is varied with flat sections, challenging climbs and some challenging road surfaces. I was very happy with the bike I hired from redspokes and Jules and Phoe Aung ensured that it fitted me and was expertly maintained over the trip. The food is delicious and there is plenty to eat. I have celiac disease and had no problems eating gluten free.I loved my time at Ngapali Beach “swimming, body surfing and with my cabin right on the beach front.
Our local staff was awesome“ ensuring that we had everything we needed and more. They had a great sense of humour and we shared many laughs. In summary, redspokes organized a great tour of Myanmar at a great price and I can't wait to tour with redspokes again.

This trip fulfilled all my expectations ,the cycling, culture and scenery were amazing. Ox the tour leader was very proactive in making sure every one in the party got the maximum out of this trip.
The bikes were brand new and stood up to the job in hand very well.I would not hesitate to recommend this tour and redspokes to anyone.

Our Sri Lankan guide's intimate knowledge of the roads and byways granted access to areas that no coach or van could ever visit and we were rewarded with sights and sensations that were sometimes the same, but never repeated. For every photo there were a thousand more I wished I had taken.
The variety of flora and fauna is quite remarkable. Sampath's advice allowed us to eat and drink produce from the side of the road, creating interactions with local people, who were always pleased to see us.
Fresh coconut water was a particular favourite. The cycling is comfortable and the few climbs rewarded with corresponding descents.
Robert Tuck, Reading, England, UK
Our guide Phea and driver Nal were both extremely helpful and informative. As well as scheduled stops Phea also showed us many interesting things varying from wedding ceremonies to traditional racing boats and riding in an oxcart! In addition they were also willing to share many personal tales and anecdotes from their lives in Cambodia and Mr Nal's life under the Khmer Rouge. There was never any shortage of refreshments and our well-being was always a priority. We sampled many local fruits, produce and culinary delights. All in all, a trip to remember!

I cannot think of anything negative to say about cycling around south Thailand. It never felt like we were in a rush or being pushed from A-B. There were varying levels of fitness, but never any feeling of competition or one up manship. The food was good, the group atmosphere was fantastic. I will definitely use redspokes again.
Peter Dahlhus, Stenloese, Denmark
I had a very good trip to Laos with Redspokes. It was a fantastic way to explore a country which I did not know much about before. If I should mention one thing that impressed me it will be the people - they are very welcoming no matter where we were. The scenery was also very beautiful and I enjoyed the bike cycling. All in all I am very happy for this tour!

The Thailand cycle tour was exactly as it was promoted - a perfect balance of activity and relaxation. The cycling was enjoyable rather than extreme, covering. 670km along quiet back roads and coastal routes.
We also had plenty of oppurtunites to swim in the sea, with the highlight of the trip for me when we all went for a dip during a coffee stop on an unspolit small bay on the way to Ban Krut! Quite frankly I loved every minute of the tour and I think it will be a hard one to beat!
Robert Thomson, Western Australia
This was an amazing experience and a really worthwhile tour. We rode on every kind of surface possible from smooth roads to almost impassable rutted stony tracks. Ox was a great leader with very good local knowledge and everywhere we went people knew and admired him. The scenery was often just so spectacular and quite unforgettable.
The Nepalese people seem blessed with the happiness gene, and were friendly everywhere, no matter how poor (and there is a lot of poverty). Any mechanical issues were sorted out on the road by the support crew - no problem. Thanks redspokes!

This was an unforgettable trip. The cycling was challenging over different surfaces, inclines and traffic conditions. Each day brought a new experience and was unique in its own way. Ox is a legend. Supported by Milan and Marmalay, he did so much to make sure we got to know the real Nepal, as best we could in two weeks, and that we got the most from our visit.
Robert Armitage, Huddersfield, UK
I had a great time on the Nepal tour, it was an amazing experience and I hope to cherish the memories for some time.
Nepal is hard to put in to words, the people are friendly and the scenery of is outstanding, including many of the ordinary houses and buildings. One of the enduring images is the smiling happy children that love to wave and say 'Namaste', 'Hello', or 'Bye Bye' as you cycle past, many of them wanting to run to keep up with you or try to beat you!
redspokes is a well organised outfit, all the logistics were handled really well and all our group of 8 people really enjoyed our time spent on and off the bike. I would definitely recommend a trip with redspokes to Nepal. It's highly likely I will be choosing another trip next year. - Robert Armitage (NEP 9)
Keith and Pat Green, Dudley, England , UK
Each day was challenging and interesting. Suresh, our leader, managed to cater for all our cycling abilities by using the other guides wisely. Even the rest days were packed full of fun. Ambir the driver could sing and dance Nepali style very well and with the good voices of the 4 guides we received great entertainment around the camp fire.
Deepak the cook and his helpers gave us more variety than we had expected. They never failed to amaze us with the type of meals and the quantities they could turn out from inside a tent. Loca kept the logistics running smoothly so all we had to do was cycle eat and sleep. All in all it was a great tour and we will find it difficult to top it.
Kieran Kelleher, Kanturk, Ireland
Another great trip with redspokes with fantastic scenary & a great group of people with good support from Ox & his crew.
This is challenging tour with at least half of trip more associated with technical mountain biking than road biking as tarmac to rough rocky roads is about 50/50 with tough climbs.
Steve Lahey, Scarborough, Australia
Nepal is a fabulous place and Ox and his team go out of their way to show you everything the country has to offer. They want you to experience all of their culture, if you want something they haven't thought of they will try and get it for you but don't be too harsh if it is not the Nepalese way it is what will bring us back again and again. Enjoy the Nepalese Flat!
Phil Turner, Middlesbrough, England, UK
